For 5 weeks in a row, Underneath The Harlem Moon will be at Guilt and Co every Tuesday night!
Starting October 5 – November 12
UTHM was created by my good friend Krystle Dos Santos and I’ve been a part of it since the inception almost 10 years ago! Guilt and Co has been our amazing host since the beginning.
It’s truly a privilege to play at such a unique, and important historic Vancouver venue.
Jason Nickel, Jay Esplana, Jay Leonard and I went down to the Dominican in January 2020 to play at an incredibly cool event called The Circle Of Excellence for LGI Homes, a Dallas based builder of new construction homes and housing developments. The week long event took place at the Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Punta Cana. It was a a full production awards show for their top earners, executives, and owners of the company. Our point guy and tech/stage manager was Trevor Hoffman, a music producer for the show My Little Pony. Trev greeted us at the resort in sandals and some really comfy looking pants and we immediately knew we were in for a good time. The next day, we rehearsed for about 8 hours going over the whole show with the owners and heads of the company, and the whole production crew. Then the following day, the suits were on, the stage was lit up, and the show began. The LGI team were great people; funny, welcoming, enthusiastic, and curious about us Canadian musicians. On our second to last night, we played on the beach of the resort with Lt. Dan Band, the cover band founded by Gary Sinise, who famously played Lt. Dan in Forest Gump. They do these big corporate events and most of the proceeds go to his veterans charity, they were Pros with a capital P. It was an incredibly cool gig. We got to hang with Tom “Bones” Malone, the trombone player for the David Letterman house band for over 20 years, as well as the Saturday Night Live band and the CBS Orchestra…a legendary horn player. The DR was a once in a lifetime experience. Every time the Trilojay boys get away, it is a gut busting adventure full of laughs, bonding, drinking, swimming, playing, smoking cigars and golfing if possible; all the best things in life really. This trip was just the best. I hope we get to go back.
