History of Motown Tour 2020
We had a BLAST playing at all the elementary, middle, and high schools in the Penticton area in March. We did 2 shows a day for 2 weeks, with a twist ending…we all caught a stomach flu and had to leave a bit early. But before that debacle, we were having an incredibly fun and relaxing time in Penticton.
Krystle brought up her beautiful baby Lily who just turned 1, along with her husband Al who is a solid friend and treat to have on the road. Jen Lewin plays keys and sings with us, and Gavin Youngash plays guitar and sings too. It’s a good crew! Not only is the music DIALED IN (especially after the first handful of shows), but so is the cooking! Dang everyone really brought their A game on this trip! We shared a massive Air Bnb with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a huge living room, giant kitchen, and had a crew of deer chilling and grazing among the vineyards with us. The scenery was quite stunning, we were on the crest of a hill overlooking the valley and vineyards with deer roaming, snow still on the peaks of the mountains beyond. I walked to the gym most days after shows, before we made dinner and started drinking and playing games! Cards Against Humanity and Wii Golf were my personal faves. Good times!
